All Dressed Up Details

What can I expect at All Dressed Up?

The event is held at MATC Truax, which is located at 1701 Wright Street in Madison. Here is a link to info about MATC:

When you arrive, park (for free) in the large lot on Wright Street. Enter the Main Entrance to Madison College from the Wright Street side, and straight ahead you’ll see the “Welcome Center.” Our registration tables will be right there!

Please bring a photo ID and print a copy of your registration details from Eventbrite.

All participants will be asked to sign a photo release waiver at registration, because we’ll be taking photos and video, and there may be media coverage. If you prefer to not have your likeness in any of our photos or videos, let us know at registration and we’ll give you a special wristband to wear to help everyone know.

We will be posting on social media about the event all day using the hashtags #ADU2017 and #becauseeverygirlisbeautiful. Please link up with us in advance on social media!

Near registration on the first floor is our Celebrations Lounge (sponsored by Celebrations Entertainment), where you may wait until your name is called. You can enjoy hair and makeup demos and also enter drawings for fabulous things while you wait.

Each registrant will have been given a specific time slot for shopping. Please wait in the Celebrations Lounge until your name is called. It might be slightly earlier or later than the anticipated time slot based on the group ahead of you.

When your name is called, a personal shopper will escort you to the dress area to find your dress. You can pick out five dresses at a time to try on.

This year, girls will be asked to make a selection within three hours of when they start shopping. This allows our personal shoppers to serve as many girls as possible during this busy day!

Once you select a dress, your shopper will also help you select an accessory to go with it (if you like). There will be shoes, accessories, purses, and more to choose from.

If minor alterations are needed, members of the Madison Sewing Guild will be on-hand to help make alterations on-site.

Once you are all done, you’ll proceed to Check Out and fill out a quick online survey about your experience

A few extra things to remember:

* Due to the nature of the event, only females are allowed in the fitting room area. If girls will be attending with their dads, let us know at registration and we can make accommodations.

* No photography is allowed in the fitting rooms. This includes camera phones.

* Please remember to bring water and snacks. Food will not be provided.

* Food will be available for purchase at the MATC Concession Stand adjacent to the gymnasium.

* This is intended to be a POSITIVE event for everyone. We ask that commentary in the fitting rooms remain uplifting, reinforcing, and supportive.

* We are there to make every single girl feel beautiful.

Should I line up prior to my scheduled time slot?
You will not be permitted to shop until your appointed time slot. Within your time slot, you’ll be called in the order you arrive and check in. You will just need to wait a brief amount of time until your number is called, usually a maximum of two hours.

How long can I expect to shop?

Because we expect a larger-than-ever crowd for this year’s event, you should expect to shop for 30-45 minutes. After you find a dress, you can take your time shopping for accessories and visiting our seamstresses, who will facilitate simple strap and hem alterations. We will provide you with a Personal Shopper who will help you find the dress of your dreams.

Are there dressing rooms?

We have a semi-private dressing area. Please plan your undergarments accordingly. For your privacy and protection, men will not be permitted in the dressing area.

Should I bring anything with me?

We will have shoes in the alterations room for use if needed. You should bring any undergarments you would normally wear under a formal gown (i.e. strapless bra).

Can I bring my mom or another adult?

Yes, please do! As noted above, men will not be allowed in the dressing room area.

Where do I enter when I arrive at Madison College?

Parking is free and located in the visitor lot at the Madison College campus. Please visit for more details. Once you enter the main building, you’ll be able to follow signs to the event, which is near the cafeteria. An accessible entrance is located at the entrance to Madison College on Anderson Street near the childcare and administrative offices.

How many tickets can I register for?

Only one registration is permitted per student. Multiple orders will be deleted.

What about alterations?

Our on-site seamstresses will be able to accommodate simple alterations, such as hems and straps. Alterations that require more time will not be available. We will have a list of local seamstresses for you to contact.
