In addition to large, ongoing programs, Junior League members also fund and support a variety of short-term projects in the community through our "Done-In-A-Day" program. Such programs include but are not limited to:
All Dressed Up
Each Spring, the Junior League of Madison organizes a prom dress event called "All Dressed Up." Teens with student ID are able to select from hundreds of donated dresses and select one to keep and wear to their prom or formal. In addition, shoes and accessories, and makeup are available along with door prizes. Every girl is treated like a princess and goes home with a dress for the prom!Elder Care of Dane County Life Enrichment Program
The Junior League of Madison has recognized the need for services for elderly women in our community. Through the Life Enrichment Program, Junior League members assist with and develop services and activities for elder women in order to keep them engaged, active and independent, while boosting their morale.Ronald McDonald House
The Junior League of Madison (JLM) has worked with the Ronald McDonald House since our first year of volunteering in 1989. The JLM was instrumental in providing money and support to furnish the Ronald McDonald House kitchen. Today, the JLM cooks and serves meals to the families of Ronald McDonald House on a monthly basis. The American Family Children's Hospital
Junior League Members provide volunteer time and all of the essential elements necessary for several fun events for the children and their families at the American Family Children's Hospital. In the summer, the JLM hosts a Rhythm & Booms 4th of July party, where anyone at the hospital is treated to fun, games, treats, and a birds-eye-view of the fireworks. At the holidays, volunteers and children delight in the annual Gingerbread House Decorating party where some of the frosting and candy end up on beautifully decorated houses. In the spring, the Junior League works with the hospital to provide an Easter egg hunt at the Governor's Mansion.Lussier Community Educational Center
The mission of the Lussier Community Educational Center (formerly Wexford Ridge) is to provide program, services, and access to resources that promote personal growth and community well-being in response to neighborhood needs. The Junior League of Madison has assisted the center with providing school supplies and backpacks for students, collecting food in the fall and winter for their pantry, and providing families with gifts for the holidays through the Giving Tree program.Other Program Partners:
